ILead Trip - Select group of 8th graders to EC3 for Leadership - Ms. Chaney said that this is a fun trip to go on. Jazmine Wright got the young women’s leader award.

Halloween in the Halls - Everyone agreed that this was very well organized

Snack Cart - the proceeds that the PTSA made from snack cart will help to fund our end of trimester field trip.

Saturday School - Ms. Trueblood mentioned that some parents are unaware of the criterion for Saturday School and think this is a punishment rather than an academic intervention. She suggested perhaps letting 5th graders know when they come to visit at the end of the year and having elementary schools inform parents before they come.

Public Comments - Lucas Geesing addressed the SBDM. The student council would like a suggestion box for students to place suggestions in for them to take action on. They would also like to do an electronic form. Mr. Barger said that he could vet the form. It was also suggested that student council meet with the principal once they have some actions items.

Impact KY Working Conditions Survey - Mr. Barger reported that access codes have been hand delivered to most teachers already. 40 out of 47 teachers have their access codes.

Curriculum Policy Review and Discussion - This policy review has been tabled until we can get clarification on the wording in the statute.

KSA Scores Principal Report - Ms. Trueblood motioned to accept the report; Mr. Barger seconded the motion; Approved by concensus

CSIP Phase II - The council was given a draft to review for next month. This is a living document, so any feedback given by council can be included in the next draft. Ms. Cassady said she will email a copy of Phase II for SBDM convenience.

Review Alignment with State Standards Policy - There were no changes to this policy. Mr. Crabtree motioned to approve the policy; Ms. Chaney seconded the motion; Approved by concensus

Review Committee Policy - Mr. Barger asked if we needed to add the GT committee. Ms. Cassady said she didn’t think so because that committee does not report to SBDM; however, she would check on it to be sure. Mr. Barger motioned to approve the policy; Ms. Trueblood seconded the motion; Approved by concensus.

Review Wellness Policy - Again, there were no changes to this policy. Mr. Crabtree made a motion to approve; Ms. Chaney seconded the motion; Approved by concensus

Adjournment - Mr. Barger made a motion to adjourn the meeting. It was seconded by Mr. Crabtree; It was approved by consensus. Meeting adjourned at 4:56
